Engaged History Reviews are posted a year after being published in Anglican and Episcopal History. Engaged History refers to collaborative projects undertaken by Anglican and Episcopal institutions and organizations, and our partners, that confront buried historical narratives, address the impact of embedded bias, structural injustice, and inherited trauma, and pave the way for authentic healing and ministries that address ongoing oppression. “Engaged History” emerged from the American Historical Association (AHA) to bring together scholarship with contemporary efforts to address social change. This section of Anglican and Episcopal History bears witness to the powerful stories of engaged history and prophetic ministry throughout the church today. If you are interested in submitting an engaged history review, please see the guidelines here.
